Sigh. The largest tax increase on everyone in America was passed, and no one has even read the damned thing.
Democrats narrowly passed historic climate and energy legislation Friday evening that would transform the country’s economy and industrial landscape.
But the all-hands-on-deck effort to protect politically vulnerable Democrats by corralling the minimum number of votes to pass the bill, 219-212, proves that there are limits to President Barack Obama’s ability to use his popularity to push through his legislative agenda. Forty-four Democrats voted against the bill, while just eight Republicans crossed the aisle to back it.
And now, a moment of silence for our liberties.

Fortunately, it looks like the bill will die in the Senate.
Wow, this guy is awesome. I wish we had some Republicans here with the set this guy’s got. Seems like things are just as bad in the UK as they are here. Take his speech, substitute Obama for Brown and the US for the UK, and you’ve got a pretty accurate portrayal of this side of the pond as well.
You know, it took 230 years to get our national debt up to $10 trillion. Obama’s going to double it in under 10. We’re screwed.
Thou shalt not criticize The One:
An Oklahoma City police officer wrongly pulled over a man last week and confiscated an anti-President Barack Obama sign the man had on his vehicle.
The officer misinterpreted the sign as threatening, said Capt. Steve McCool, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, and took the sign, which read “Abort Obama, not the unborn.”
So they confiscated his sign, then called the Secret Service who came out to pay him a visit.
”When I was on my way there, the Secret Service called me and said they weren’t going to ransack my house or anything … they just wanted to (walk through the house) and make sure I wasn’t a part of any hate groups.”
Were they taking about the nutroots? They are pretty much a hate group. Poor guy had to get himself a lawyer. If I were him, I’d file a complaint against the cop. His first amendment rights were clearly violated here.

I seriously don’t know if I’m going to make it four years. Obama I can handle, it’s all his worshippers that make me want to puke.
