Here we go...
UPDATE: Kerry Sucking up to Floridians already...
UPDATE: Kerry Flip-Flop on not allowing other nations having veto power over us.
UPDATE: Good overview of all that has been accomplished in the war on terror by Bush.
UPDATE: I think the Bush team should have gotten the Presidential seal on Bush's podium, hehe.
UPDATE: Nuance by Kerry, the 9/11 Commission did find links between Al Quaeda and Hussein, just not 9/11 and Hussein. That should show up in the sidebar soon.
UPDATE: It only took Kerry 12 minutes to bring up Vietnam. I should have had a pool going on that.
UPDATE: Bush using Kerry's own words against him. Brilliant.
UPDATE: Humvees don't have armament? Perhaps Kerry shouldn't have voted against the $87 billion.
UPDATE: Bush using “wrong war” speech from Kerry against him. Sends the wrong message to our allies and troops.
UPDATE: Ah, the wealthiest Americans tax cut meme from Kerry. Not surprised to hear that.
UPDATE: Good point from Bush on how Kerry plans to pay for all those promises he just made.
UPDATE: Bush stuttered a little starting his statement, people might pick on that, but it wasn't that big of a deal.
UPDATE: “Help is on the way”, give me a break.
UPDATE: Another Vietnam reference, I count two so far.
UPDATE: YES! Help is on the way, but he voted against the $87 billion, good point Bush.
UPDATE: Vietnam - that's three.
UPDATE: Kerry mentions Haliburton, why can't he realize that Haliburton is about the only company that can do what they do.
UPDATE: Bush uses Kerry's insulting of our allies against him, you know he was waiting for an opportune time for that.
UPDATE: Bush is starting to beat the “mixed signals” thing a little too much for my taste.
UPDATE: Kerry just flip-flopped about not going to war knowing what we know now. He was asked point blank if he would vote for the war again, and he said he would.
UPDATE: North Korea has nukes? I wonder who allowed that to happen? Senator Kerry, do recall Clinton's term in office?
UPDATE: He keeps saying he knows how to bring national leaders back to the table, but doesn't say how. I'm not convinced.
UPDATE: Bush using Kerry's flip-flopping Iraq statements again. “As politics change, his positions change.”
UPDATE: Kerry just said, “I have had one consistent position on Iraq”, I started laughing out loud at that one. Bush said the only thing consistent about Kerry's position is that it's inconsistent.
UPDATE: Bush talking about a visit with the family of a fallen soldier. He aways looks good talking about things like that, he looks much more like a compassionate person than Kerry does.
UPDATE: Vietnam, that's four.
UPDATE: Good point about how would the troops feel if the commander-in-chief started saying wrong war, wrong time.
UPDATE: Bush pointing out Kerry's criticism of Alawi, they said he was a puppet. That's no way to treat such a brave man.
UPDATE: I think that was a good answer from Bush about if we'll be sending troops to other countries. He said he hopes he doesn't have to, but a President always has to consider it as a last resort. Brought up Libya dismantling its weapons programs.
UPDATE: Bush really needs to point out that the 9/11 Commission found links between Iraq and Al Quaeda. Kerry saying we “outsourced” the hunt for Bin Laden. He's said that twice now. Sneaky bastard.
UPDATE: “I'll never take my eye off the ball”. What the hell does that even mean?
UPDATE: Bush segues into not supporting the International Criminal Court. Way to stick up for our national sovereignty.
UPDATE: A lot of “he said, she said” on Iran and North Korea, that probably won't sway any undecideds.
UPDATE: Kerry just mentioned a “Backdoor draft”. He's really pushing the draft thing, even if it is in a roundabout way like that.
UPDATE: Ok, everyone's in agreement on Darfur.
UPDATE: Character issues question, Bush better knock this out of the park.
UPDATE: Good way to start out, mentioning the things he likes and appreciates about Kerry. More mixed messages. Bush could have done better on that question.
UPDATE: Good point from Bush about not changing his core values for politics.
UPDATE: Kerry just said again that he's only had one position on Iraq. Does he think people are buying that?
UPDATE: I think Bush just avoided using the word nuclear, opting for WMD. Maybe not a bad tactic, but who really cares about the pronunciation. Now talking about missile defense system, which is making progress, Kerry opposes it.
UPDATE: Good answer on Putin, against his pulling of some democratic policies, but an ally in the war on terror. We and other democratic countries have to keep working with him.
UPDATE: Bush never said “Mission Accomplished”, Senator.
UPDATE: They seem to agree on Putin.
UPDATE: Vietnam again, five mentions by my count.
UPDATE: Kerry says he's going to strengthen the military, but his 19-year Senate record says otherwise.
UPDATE: Bush just said “Our military will be an all-volunteer force” ie. no draft, you hear that people?
UPDATE: Pretty good closing on both parts. I'm going to read the transcript and see what I might have missed while blogging and sum up a little later.
POST-DEBATE UPATE: Kerry mentioned Haliburoton. As I said, Haliburton is singularly in a position to provide the services that they do. Boortz has this to say:
I notice that the Kerry campaign is running ads in Ohio, a crucial battleground state, where it is claimed that Halliburton was awarded some no-bid contracts to Halliburton for services in Iraq. Actually, I believe that may be true. No bid contracts are common in cases of emergencies. But there's more to the story here. Guess what other president granted no-bid contracts to Halliburton? And guess which president granted no-bid contracts to Halliburton at a time when there was NO emergency. I believe his name was Clinton, or something like that. Funny that's not mentioned in the Democrats' commercial.
'Nuff said.
POST-DEBATE UPDATE II: Sharp as a Marble did a much better job at this than I did...
