House Passes “Global Warming” Bill

Sigh. The largest tax increase on everyone in America was passed, and no one has even read the damned thing.

Democrats narrowly passed historic climate and energy legislation Friday evening that would transform the country’s economy and industrial landscape.

But the all-hands-on-deck effort to protect politically vulnerable Democrats by corralling the minimum number of votes to pass the bill, 219-212, proves that there are limits to President Barack Obama’s ability to use his popularity to push through his legislative agenda. Forty-four Democrats voted against the bill, while just eight Republicans crossed the aisle to back it.

And now, a moment of silence for our liberties.

Thank you.

Fortunately, it looks like the bill will die in the Senate.

  • What do you expect when they’ve been fooled by bad science? One representative said he hadn’t read it, but signed it anyway. It’s stupid when all the democrats can see if tax dollar signs. If this passes, I can see people freezing to death up north, because they can’t afford to pay for the heating oil, the electricity, or the coal.
