Now THAT Was Funny

I just got back from seeing The Aristocrats. Man, did I laugh my ass off. It’s a documentary about a joke whose punch line is “The Aristocrats”. I’ve heard the joke before, and frankly thought an hour and a half documentary about it would be somewhat of a stretch, but I was pleasantly surprised. The list of comedians they lined up for this film was amazing. Emo Phillips and Steven Wright were even in it.

Let me also say that, without a doubt, that was, at least as far as language goes, the filthiest movie I have ever seen. To get sort of a sneak preview of what you’re in store for, you can check this link from the movie’s website. But, if you’re planning on seeing the movie, I would recommend not reading through that page. It doesn’t contain spoilers exactly, but it’s definitely funnier hearing it coming from the comedians. Especially some of the stuff that comes out of Bob Saget’s mouth (despite how you’ve seen him on Full House and whatever else he’s been in, that man is one filthy bastard). Read the page after you see the movie. As sort of a refresher, because with all the different versions of the joke floating around, it gets kind of hard to keep it all straight.

Anyway, if you’re the sort of person who’s easily offended, skip this one. But if you’re like me, it’s a laugh riot. My compliments to Paul and Penn.
