Ok, I’ve been dinking around with my CSS, and from what I can tell, my site is now looking the way it should in Firefox. Anyone else using Firefox (Geoffrey) notice any difference?

House Of Clinton, House Of Saud

So during the election cycle, there was a lot of buzz regarding the connections between the Bush family and the Saudi Royal family. Most notably by author Craig Unger and that really fat guy who makes movies (no, not Orson Welles, he’s dead).

Conspicuously, there has been little to no media attention on the Clintons’ ties to the Saudis. However, in the New York Sun today, we get this tasty tidbit:

LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – President Clinton’s new $165 million library here was funded in part by gifts of $1 million or more each from the Saudi royal family and three Saudi businessmen.

The governments of Dubai, Kuwait, and Qatar and the deputy prime minister of Lebanon all also appear to have donated $1 million or more for the archive and museum that opened last week.

Democrats spent much of the presidential campaign this year accusing President Bush of improperly close ties to Saudi Arabia. The case was made in Michael Moore’s film “Fahrenheit 9/11,” in a bestselling book by Craig Unger titled “House of Bush, House of Saud,” and by the Democratic presidential candidate, Senator Kerry.”This administration delayed pressuring the Saudis,” Mr. Kerry said on October 20. “I will insist that the Saudis crack down on charities that funnel funds to terrorists… and on anti-American and anti-Israel hate speech.”The Media Fund, a Democratic group whose president is a former Clinton White House aide, Harold Ickes, spent millions airing television commercials in swing states with scripts such as, “The Saudi royal family…wealthy…powerful…corrupt. And close Bush family friends.”

Perhaps as a result, the Saudi donations to the Clinton library are raising some eyebrows. Mr. Unger said he suspects that the Saudi support may have something to do with a possible presidential bid by Senator Clinton in 2008.

“They want to keep their options open no matter who’s in power and whether that’s four years from now or whatever,” the author said. “Just a few million is nothing to them to keep their options open.”

Now we just have to wait for the book from Mr. Unger detailing the further ties between the Clintons and the “wealth…powerful…corrupt“ Saudi Royal family, though I would wager that such a tome is not forthcoming.

And speaking of the Clinton library, $165 million, and the best they could come up with was a really large double-wide trailer?

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Last week, I was able to drive my boat to work. Rain still hasn’t let up. Freaky. This week, I can take my new submarine to the office. I’m not sure if the new airlock they installed is working yet. I could just put on the scuba gear, but the sub is definitely more fun.

Hopefully, I won’t run into any Germans…

Not To Be Outdone…

In response to the recent photo of Dick Cheney’s…ummm…. assets, Bill Clinton shows us what he’s made of.

UPDATE: I posted this in a hurry and completely forgot the Hat Tip… Sorry about that, Penn.

I Knew I Liked Curt Schilling

Tom Arnold: “You get one choice. George Bush gets re-elected President or Red Sox win the World Series for the first time in ’86 years, what are you going to choose?“

Curt Schilling: “George Bush”

I’m With Ann Coulter On This One

There seem to be a growing number of racists in the liberal ranks. Here’s an excerpt of what she said a few nights ago on Hannity & Colmes:

COULTER: I don’t know why you [Beckel] keep talking about [the unfair treatment received by] Bill Clinton when your party — I mean, I understand why you’d like to change the subject, but your party is being biased and condescending about a black woman. I understand why you are so terrified of letting us point out what racists the Democrats are and how they have a big problem with black women.

She’s got a point. After things like this, this, and this, it’s becoming apparent that there’s a pattern developing on the left side of the aisle. Personally, I find all of this rather appalling. And other than places like blogs and Fox News, you probably won’t hear about it.

And it’s not just cartoonists, either. On Wednesday, a talk radio host in Madison, WI, John Sylvester, called Dr. Rice Aunt Jemima. And he also called Colin Powell an Uncle Tom.

However, if Dr. Rice was a liberal, and was being appointed by a Democrat, I doubt that any of these people would have a problem with her, or Colin Powell, for that matter. And speaking of reversing things, if even one Republican said or drew anything like that about a black woman, it would be front page on the New York Times for weeks.

Let’s remember our history here, people. Abraham Lincoln – Republican. And if it wasn’t for Republicans, the civil rights legislation of the sixties would never have passed. The Dixiecrats (southern Democrats) did everything in their power to keep those laws from passing.

Liberal hypocrisy and racism are just disgusting me to no end lately. But since the MSM generally don’t touch stories like this with a ten-foot pole, most people will never even hear about it.
