Did you ever finish up at your computer one evening thinking things were going great. Then you come back the next night and you realize that you left a browser open to Drudge’s home page, and thanks to his five-minute page refresh and two pop-up windows per refresh, you now have about eighteen million browser windows open?
I hate it when that happens…
Someone isn’t using FireFox…
Or, if you must use IE, at least install the Google Toolbar, which blocks most of the popups. The new version of IE that comes with the XP SP2 upgrade also has built-in popup blocking. In fact, since I installed SP2, not a single popup has gotten through to my Google Toolbar in IE.
I’ve got XP SP2, Google Toolbar, and Yahoo Toolbar, and still get the popups. And I installed Firefox to troubleshoot the CSS for my site, and I even got popups in Firefox on Drudge’s page.
