Looking at the other controls that get rendered, it seems that the list ’<li>’ was what the CSS was applied to to get the font that everything else is in, so I put the javascript code inside a list and it worked. And the indent kicked in, too.
I still have no idea how to get the spacing right, the other items appear to only have half of a line break between the category and the content. Again, any help is appreciated.
