This Judge Needs To Go

A Florida judge, Judge O.H. Eaton, has been handing out sentences that can only be described as unbelievable. Last week, a 20 year-old man pleaded guilty to having sex with a 12 year-old, and the judge gave him 10 days probation. Think that’s bad? Not to be outdone by himself, now a man has pleaded guilty to beating his 5 year-old son to death. Where I’m from, he would soon be assuming room temperature as part of the “he needed killin’” law. But not in Florida. Judge Eaton thought that 5 years would be enough.

What kind of justice is that?

New Tablet PC PowerToy In Development

I just read on Channel 9 that Microsoft is working on a power toy that will covert typed text into your handwriting. Now THAT’s a cool powertoy.

Gas Prices

You know, if you adjust gas prices at the tail end of the Carter administration for inflation, back then, we were paying $2.91 a gallon in today’s dollars. And cars get at least twice the gas mileage that they did back then, so what the hell is everyone so uppity about? Be happy it’s not 1979 and move on with your life.

For further explanation, read this previous post of mine.

Fritz Hollings And The Jews

So Senator Foghorn Leghorn, I mean Fritz Hollings, posted an article on his website stating that Bush went to war with Iraq to protect Isreal and to appease American Jews. Wow, how about that. The president of the Anti-Defamation League is asking him to retract this statement. This is going to be all over the media soon. It will headline on CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC. Oh, wait, I forgot. Hollings is a democrat. He can get away with a statment like that. Just like Robert Byrd can be an ex-clan member and that’s OK.

Speaking of Robert Byrd, remember when Trent Lott praised Strom Thurmond and got railroaded out of his Senate Majority Leader post? Well, last month Senator Chris Dodd made the following remarks about Senator Byrd:

“Robert C. Byrd in my view, Mr. President, would have been right at anytime. You would have been right at the founding of this country. You would have been in the leadership of crafting this Constitution. You would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation.“

How would a member of the KKK (ok, former member) be right during the civil war? And did you see anything about that in the major news media? I think not.

Forget what I said about Hollings being all over the news, this might be the only place you’ll ever read about it.

Terry McAuliffe (McAwful)

So today Terry spouts off about how Bush isn’t doing anything to lower the price of gas because he’s trying to prop up his buddies in the oil business who are supposedly getting rich off the high gas prices. I know logic scares liberals, but here goes. Why, just a few months before he is up for re-election, would Bush purposefully be doing anything to keep gas prices high? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the high gas prices are bringing his approval rating down. But to idiots like Terry McAuliffe, this of course makes sense.

I’ve got three words for you, Terry: supply and demand. The reason gas prices are high is because demand is out pacing supply. And OPEC raised their prices. Is it that difficult to figure that out? And you know what? We would have more supply if the environmentalist wackos wouldn’t have a hissy fit every time someone suggested drilling for more oil. Drilling in Anwar would reduce our dependence on foreign oil. And guess what? If we didn’t have to pay their high prices, the price of gas would drop.

Really, it’s not that difficult, Terry. Perhaps you should read up a bit on economics.

Michael Moore Hates America

I just found out that a guy named Michael Wilson has produced a documentary called Michael Moore Hates America. It sounds like it’s going to be pretty good, and there’s a trailer on the website, so go check that out. The film is about how Michael Moore’s documentaries “are full of venom and hatred, invented facts and inaccuracies, yet he’s been rewarded with Hollywood’s highest honor.” I hope this film makes it to a theater in my area.

Some other sites of interest for those of us fed up with Michael Moore’s left-wing lies are MooreWatch.com, BowlingForTruth.com, and MooreLies.com.

Also, here’s a review from the New York Post that says his new movie has far ‘Moore’ fizzle than sizzle.

Oh, and he also outsources his web design and hosting to Canadian companies.

Teen With Big Boobs Sent Home

I saw a news story from a local Cincinnati channel about a 13-year-old girl who was sent home from her graduation at Holy Family Catholic School because she was showing too much cleavage. Here’s a quote from the girl:

“I don’t think nothing was wrong with the dress. I wouldn’t have came to school if I thought something was wrong with the dress.”

There’s a vidcap of her in her dress, and yes, she does appear to be suffering from Punky Brewsteritis.

This is news? Isn’t there anything else going on in Cincinnati that would be more interesting than this? Sheesh. And with statements like “I don’t think nothing was wrong with the dress” she should have been sent home because she’s too stupid to be going to high school just yet. Maybe another year of remedial English would do her some good.

Her mother must really be proud.

Air America

I don’t get Air America where I live, so I haven’t listened to it yet. However, I understand they broadcast over the Internet, so perhaps I will check them out soon. I can’t say that I’ve heard anything good about it yet, but this is America, and everyone has the right to say what they want, no matter how idiotic it is. I did find this review over at the NY Daily News by Michael Goodwin. He doesn’t paint a pretty picture.

Bill Clinton Wants His Life Back

So Bill Clinton is complaining that he’s been couped up in his mansion for three months writing his memoirs. “For three months I have done nothing but try to finish the story of my life that was hard enough to live the first time.” Trust me, Bill, it wasn’t easy for us either. Frankly, I’ve enjoyed his absence from the media. I wish he would stay home and keep writing permanently. What ever happened to former presidents keeping their mouths shut about the succeeding administrations? I guess that would involve too much class for Mr. Clinton.

Speaking of people wanting their lives back, has anyone heard from Ron Brown or Vince Foster lately?

TechTV Staff Gets The Ax

Well, the new G4 execs have decided to get rid of the entire TechTV staff. That really sucks, and I hope all those people land on their feet. Former Screen Savers host Leo has a post about it on his blog.
